This just in: Nargis Fakhri is going to be taking Hindi lessons for her role in Shaukeen opposite Akshay Kumar.
Apparently the director Rumi Jaffery has asked Nargis to work on her Hindi diction because he doesn’t want to dub her voice. Also, she has a lot of dialogue so he wants her to perfect her Hindi!
The original Shaukeen starred Mithun Chakraborty and Rati Agnihotri in the 80s.
Nargis, who was initially signed by Akki for a three-film deal, was supposed to be seen in Khiladi 786 but was replaced by Asin Thottumkal at the last moment. Akshay being a man of his word brought her back for this comic caper.
Nargis will also be seen in Madras Cafe with John Abraham. Oooh, look who’s back!
