Anaita Shroff Adajania is arguably the biggest stylist around, from being Fashion Director at Vogue India, to styling Deepika Padukone and countless films. Recently, she hosted a trends presentation with Marc Cain. She presented 3 distinct trends to wear this summer
The Roaring ’20s
The Great Gatsby ’21: think muted colour palette, floaty flapper dresses, feathers, fringing and opulent sparkle. The Gatsby theme at Marc Cain is seen in the luxurious shimmering surfaces, sophisticated cream and sand shades, and extravagant paisley prints. Keep it real, by teaming a fringed skirt with a graphic print top and sky-high heels. Must have accessories also include T-bar shoes, small hats, printed scarves and sand coloured clutch bags.
African Graphics
African Love Affair: highlights the laid back safari style which is ideal for the summer with animal prints, tribal patterns and hints of neon. At Marc Cain too, the SS 13 collection has focused on vibrant colours such as neon and wild lime. Seen on casual blazers, slim trousers and skirts, these colours can be balanced by pairing them with pastel blouses and tops.
Surfer Girls
Funky Mix: celebrates the print mix in a stylish and contemporary way. This theme is all about Flower Power! Nothing says summer like flowers in full bloom. From a rose-infused bikini to chic straight-from-the-garden sunglasses, flowers all over is the motto here! Eye-catchers include jeans with faded flower prints and the jersey biker jackets covered with printed blossoms.
