To raise money in aid of violence against women in India, Pooja Bhatt auctioned off a role in one of her upcoming films to whoever bid the highest. And surprisingly, the winner was none other than a Harry Potter star!
Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley (Harry Potter’s love interest) in the series, was the one who emerged the highest bidder. And interestingly, she was willing to pay even double that amount to secure a part for her brother Lewis Wright as well.
So now Bonnie has the option of picking between two roles – a speaking part for Bad (the film based on Charles Sobhraj), or an extravagant dance number in Cabaret. Personally, I’d love to see Bonnie in an elaborate Bollywood number, but it’d be great to see her either way, and it’s for a good cause so win-win all the way. Which one would you prefer?
