Earlier today, the fashion and film industry were shocked to learn of the passing away of photographer Jagdish Mali, one of the most senior glamour photographers and the father of actress Antara Mali.
According to our sources, he had diabetes and needed a kidney transplant. But a few days ago, he fell in his house and fractured his hip. Due to this diabetic condition, they could not operate upon him. He also suffered from other ailments which, put together, caused his death.
We’re told Antara Mali was with him at the hospital last evening in Mumbai. He passed away today just a little before noon.
Earlier this year, reports have it that a starlet found him in a disheveled state on the road in Mumbai and she got actor Salman Khan to send over some staff to get him back to his house. That was when the rumours of his failing health hit the headlines. But he denied it at that time.
