A couple of years ago, actor Ruslaan Mumtaz was accused of uploading a naughty MMS of his then girlfriend, Zahra Khan, to YouTube. It showed her in compromising positions with an unidentified man. She in turn alleged that Ruslaan was gay because instead of spending Valentine’s Day with her, he went out with a male friend.
In a strange twist of fate, his newest film, I Don’t Luv U is a love story in which an MMS leak is the point of conflict in the film. “It is about today’s youth. How they look at love and relationships. And how technology effects their love life,” says Ruslaan.
And as if to make a point about his sexuality, Ruslaan tells Vaalee Supreet how he enjoyed auditioning almost twenty girls.
Says Ruslaan, “I had already done MP3 and Satish Kaushik had clearly told me that he wanted to launch a fresh face and is not interested in casting someone who has already done a film. But one day I got a call from his office and I was asked to do a scene (as an audition) with a girl, which I gladly did. The next day, I got a call again for the film’s audition. I went there. But this time I did that scene with 7 to 8 girls. The third day again I was called and I had an audition with 7 to 8 girls more girls which I was somewhat enjoying but I was confused too. Later on, I realised that assistant directors were using me for girls since girls enjoyed doing auditions with me.”
Now what do you make of that? Comments please.
