It’s time to play peekaboo. The sheer trend is here to stay this spring/summer season. And trust me when I say, it’s not for the wallflower.
Raj Shroff, Hemant & Nandita and Rimzim Dadu all sent down sheer shirts with exposed bra-lets. Nachiket Barve showed us that transparent capes make for pretty cover-ups. While Namrata Joshipura and Jenjum Gadi proved that you can show off those gams in dresses and skirts.
This trend can range from subtle too downright risque. It’s up to you how much you dare to bare! So how do you pull off this look?
For those taking baby steps – choose outfits that have a few elements. Eg: A blouse with sheer sleeves or a Maxi dress that has a sheer overlay.
- Wear over a lace camisole or a bra-let top. ASOS has a fabulous range of them.
- Opt for soft, fluid fabrics such as chiffon and georgette.
- Pick outfits that have an interesting play on the fabrics – sequins, opaque patches and nude underlays are easily wearable.
