It doesn’t matter if you’re the biggest YouTube celebrity of all time – you can still get your a$$ banned at home! After crushing all records with his global smash hit Gangnam Style, Psy is back with his latest musical volley, entitled Gentleman. While the song has rocketed to popularity, tying the record for quickest 100 million YouTube views ever (accomplished in 3 days, matching the video of the February’s Russian meteor crash), South Korea’s largest state broadcaster isn’t quite so thrilled. In fact, KBS has banned the new video from airing, due to Psy’s less-than-gentlemanly treatment of public property in a scene where he kicks down a traffic cone and laughs. In a statement, the broadcaster noted,
KBS’s review standards … are different from the Internet, online broadcasters or cable channels. This is because network TV is watched by everyone regardless of gender and age. Infants or children haven’t fully developed a standard for judgment and tend to believe and follow what’s shown on television.
Take a look at the video and judge for yourself – do you think the video is a bad influence?
