Sanjay Dutt only has a few weeks before he has to surrender to serve 3-and-a-half-years in jail, which is why he’s scrambling to complete his pending projects on time. The film that requires the most number of days to complete shooting is, directed by KS Ravikumar. Unfortunately, though the actor has committed himself to completing the project, it looks like external forces may prevent this from happening.
According to TOI, shooting for the film has been stalled since there’s a dispute between two stunt artist associations. In accordance with industry laws, 70% of an action film’s stunt crew needs to be hired from the local stunt artistes’ associations – but at the same time, the Chennai stunt artistes’ association is demanding that 50% of the crew should be from their association. Word has it that the two bodies are not willing to budge and reach a compromise, despite Sanjay’s best efforts to mediate. The producer has even suggested to the local stunt artistes’ association that he’d hire 50% of his crew from their association and still pay them for the remaining 20%, but they are apparently unwilling to accept that offer, since they just want “the law to be followed.”
Meanwhile, off the sets, reporters enter Day 7 of staking out his home round the clock. The quiet dead-end street on Pali Hill, Bandra has seen dozens of satellite news trucks and cameramen ever since the news first broke last week.
