Much was written about Preity Zinta‘s comeback film Ishkq in Paris, but things hit a rough patch earlier and the project hasn’t quite recovered. Even though the film was supposed to be out in October (several promos were even released), it got postponed – first by a month, and then indefinitely. Earlier, it was said that the film wasn’t hitting cinemas because director Prem Soni was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer, and PZ was insistent that only he would complete the post-production work on the film. But even now that Prem is on the way to recovering, it seems like the fate of Ishkq in Paris is still questionable.
TOI reported earlier today that Preity is just not finding any buyers for the film! She is reportedly quoting Rs 20 crores for the movie and no one is willing to shell out that kind of cash for it, perhaps because the promos didn’t create the kind of stir she would’ve wanted it to. However, PZ has apparently told Prem Soni that she is close to locking the deal and is looking at a May release. So I guess we’ll have to wait to know more, but are you crossing your fingers for the film to release soon?
