Three stunning ladies were the cynosure off all eyes at the announcement of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne which will take place from 3rd-15th May in Australia.
Malaika Arora Khan stood out from the rest in red full-length dress which had a slit all the way up to her thigh. She was accompanied by husband Arbaaz Khan who unfortunately, chose to dress down in a black shirt, jeans and sneakers. A little more effort to dress up, on his part, would have made them look quite the glamorous couple.
Vidya Balan played safe and stuck to her signature look – Sabyasachi saree, lots of bangles, big earrings and hair in a plait. This look is getting to be rather boring and we’ve seen it on her umpteen number of times. We wish she’d experiment with her look a bit. For instance, she could carry off jackets and trousers rather well.
And just for the record, it must be shared that Vidya Balan has been chosen as the Brand Ambassador for the festival for the second year in a row.
Model and actress Dipannita Sharma wore a lovely knee-length dress in fresh fruity colours by Gaviin Miguel. But even though we loved her silver shoes, the black clutch seemed mismatched. We would have preferred her to wear accessories of a matching colour, in this case.
The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne will celebrate 100 Years of indian Cinema, this year, and will screen films like Raja Harishchandra ( from 1913) and The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2012). The festival will also bestow a Lifetime Achievement Award on the late Yash Chopra. It will be accepted by his wife, Pamela Chopra.
