While most Bollywood aspirants would do anything – and we mean ANYTHING – to do an item number in a film, ex Miss India 2011, Ankita Shorey has passed up the lucrative offer of doing a shimmy in Prabhu Deva’s directorial next, Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya.
Reportedly, producer Kumar Taurani was keen to cast Ankita Shorey for the interestingly titled Jaadu Ki Jhappi De De Tu Abhi, which will be shot in the fields of Punjab but, according to sources, the lovely lady turned the proposal down.
Says Ankita in a statement, “Yes it’s true that Kumarji had offered me to do this item song before Jacqueline, I was really excited about the song especially with the king of dance, Prabhu Deva involved, but as of now I want to focus on doing quality roles in Bollywood and then maybe after doing 3-4 movies I will definitely look at an item song.”
And as stated by her, Jacqueline Fernandez has now stepped into her dancing shoes. Nice!
