Ten stunning creations inspired by the Tudor Queen, Elizabeth I, is what Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton presented at Paris Fashion Week, yesterday.
Chain-mail dresses, metal leggings with cut-outs, ornately beaded corsets and lots of pearl detailing resurrected the Sixteenth century Monarch – best known as the Virgin Queen – into the Twenty-First century.
The McQueen website states, “Hoop skirts, caging and corsetry enhance and idealize a quintessentially feminine silhouette and introduce an erotic undercurrent further suggested by stockings, suspender belts and harnessing!”
Clearly, the queen has been deflowered with some visible S&M.
