Karl Lagerfeld drew inspiration from the Scots for his Métiers d’Art Paris-Edimbourg collection. For the campaign, he roped in 52-year old actress Tilda Swinton. (Yes, 52!) She may not sport tartan or kilts, but the actress is very much a Scot and that’s what helped her land the campaign.
“Tilda perfectly embodies the Paris-Edimbourg collection. She is of course Scottish, but more than that she is a modern woman, a timeless icon of elegance,” declared Karl Lagerfeld.
The actress is know to stay away from cookie-cutter Hollywood looks for the red carpet. She often sports androgynous and avant-garde ensembles. Take a look at some of her memorable red carpet outfits.
The campaign will hit fashion glossies in May.What do you think of the selection?
