Is his rivalry with Salman Khan keeping Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan away from all the Celebrity Cricket League matches that are currently happening in India and Dubai? It would certainly seem so, according to the gossips.
We’re told that Salman Khan is considered by the CCL as an unofficial brand ambassador and hence Shah Rukh, who owns IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders, prefers to stay away from all matches and parties held by the Celebrity Cricket League.
Recently, a match between Riteish Deshmukh’s Veer Marathi v/s Bengal Tigers was held in Hyderabad (with a huge after party) and Salman Khan was the star attraction.
In fact, Salman had even played for Mumbai Heroes in the first season of the CCL but now, he prefers to go and watch the game. Interestingly, Shah Rukh has spread his support of cricket to the Toyota University Cricket Championship, which he recently launched amid much fanfare.
While the two warring Khans have divided Bollwood, it’s pretty clear that distinctive battle lines have been drawn across the cricket pitch too with each star fiercely guarding his own game!
