On his visit to Mumbai, the British Prime Minister David Cameron, hopped over to Indigo in Colaba (with his team) for an evening of fine dining.
We were told that Cameron feasted on an especially designed menu which included Baby Beets with Horseradish Panna Cotta (to start with), followed by Indigo owner Rahul Akerkar’s special Butter Poached Chicken with Jerusalem Artichoke puree, Forest Mushrooms and Pan Jus.
The Prime Minister and his team also enjoyed a bottle of St. Claire Sauvignon Blanc and before leaving, (satiated of course), David Cameron autographed the special menu.
“Thank you for a delicious dinner. Best wishes!” – is what he wrote.
And what did Rahul Akerkar feel about entertaining Cameron?
“Pride!!” – he says, with a stiff upper-lip!
