You saw the cover, now catch the spread – of Saif Ali Khan in this month’s GQ India. Oh yes, you don’t want to miss this one: he looks SO suave!
Shot by the British fashion photographer Ram Shergill, the shoot took place on the rooftop of the Burberry headquarters in Westminster, London, on the eve of the British heritage fashion house’s womenswear Spring/Summer’13 show in September.
Shergill said: “For this shoot, I cast him as a Bond-style character because it worked perfectly with the setting: we were on the roof of the Burberry office, from where we could see the headquarters of MI5 in the background. The whole thing had a real spy-like feel to it.”
The styling, by Antara Motiwala, was bang on; and Saif looks almost as dashing as Daniel Craig. Erm, dare I say, I liked loved this spread better than Rahul Khanna’s (soz, R!). It features my beloved London − spare me this time, will ya? And oh, you can double-click the image(s) to enlarge 🙂
And, looks like Saif really, really liked the polka-dot tie (as seen in the cover shot) from Burberry’s Autumn/Winter’12 collection, ‘cos he wore it to the womenswear show at the Kensington Gardens the next day of the shoot.
P.S. Just to brag: this tie was in my edit of the menswear Autumn/Winter’12 round of shows, back in January last year 😀 Joseph Gordon-Levitt also wore this tie, to The Dark Knight Rises London premiere in July.
P.P.S. Who do you think wore the tie better? #okbye
