So just before I took off for two back to back weddings in Goa and Hyderabad I attended Day 2 of the Chivas Studio 2012. The night featured tunes by Karsh Kale and Rohit Bal‘s on-going urban mela and I’ve saved up a few of my favorite memories from the night (along with an unexpected after party) to blog just for you. Flashback mode: ON!
1. Playing Dress Up.
I loved getting glam in this brown/black velvet dress with thigh high slits, by Nikhil Thampi (especially awesome for little people like me who want to create the illusion of long legs!) I teamed that up with Swarovski cuff (because I’ve learned, over time that when it comes to accessorising, less is always more.) Also thank you to Minee R. for make up. (You can hit her up online here or call +919920641441.)
2. Bollywood Belle.
I had a great catch up with Neha Dhupia and she confessed her heels were sinking into the grass just as much as mine were! I loved her Pankaj & Nidhi jacket and in case you missed it, here’s how to get her look.
3. Purse Poetry.
Neha also introduced me to her pal, the very charming Rashmi Choudary who I was delighted to discover designs her own jewellery and bags. I fell in love with her wood necklace and this darling piano clutch and can’t wait to see what she comes up with next! Check out the entire collection at her Fluke store in Versova, Rohit Bal and Aza India. I guarantee you’ll LOVE.
4. This Guy.
Somehow (and I kid you not) we had the good fortune of spotting this guy on both nights. On Day 1 of Chivas Studio, when we first laid eyes on him, his hair billowed gently in the wind (almost on cue and in slow motion) for our viewing pleasure. On Day 2 he took off his jacket to reveal this epic long sleeved muscle tee. Johnny Bravo eat your heart out.
5. Old Friends and New!
The other awesome thing about that night was catching up with my friends Thomas & Rebecca Dawes (I’m sure you remember them from our epic movie star party at b:blunt) and meeting a whole new bunch of people that I ended up partying it up with in Goa over wedding weekend madness!
6. People who read my blog.
It always makes me happy to run into anyone who reads my blog. So imagine my delight when I randomly got into a conversation with this crew and discovered that they had looked up my blog to figure out the night’s dress code, yay!
7. Rohit Bal’s After Party
When the Chivas Studio wrapped up, a select few made their way over to the China House Deck (in between the restaurant above and the club downstairs) where Rohit Bal hosted an exclusive after party. It was super fun and entertaining since I ran into every breed of boy – from Prince to VJ and even made a new pal from Pakistan!
Big hello to Aly Mustansir over in Karachi 🙂
I hope you enjoyed my flashback, my OCD doesn’t allow me to let the knowledge of unpublished pictures sit easily in my mind. So now, I for one, will sleep better knowing I finally blogged this. What to do, we are like this only 🙂 xoxo
