If there was a ranking for the show that was most fun, Riyaz Gangji would surely win it. With the hit song Radha on the Dance Floor blasting, five extremely hunky male models strutted out in chic ¾ pants and shirts with hats jaunting on their heads.
Next up, the female models joined their male counterparts and started grooving with the guys in their short dress with plenty of ruffles. It was more a dance party on the ramp than it was a traditional fashion show! After that the tempo dropped, and the vibe turned mellow – an array of shimmering white and silver saris were sent down the runway.
Entitled Shimmering Sands, Riyaz was inspired by the book Sounds of Waves that he had read almost 20 years ago. Anarkalis were teamed with gold bikinis, and the chiffon gowns & saris with silver borders looked extremely glam.
The men had it easy- easy chic that is. Loose kurtas pyjamas in muted colours such as browns, whites and greys.
The person who stole the show was undoubtedly Zeenat Aman who strutted to her hist song Dum Maaro Dum wearing a red, pink, and white ensemble.
