I went to a spectacular show on Wednesday night at the Sofitel BKC hosted by Accor and Air France featuring the famous Moulin Rouge from Paris (no relation to the movie.) As part of the “World of Accor” celebrations we witnessed two performances and one (involving the boys) especially blew my mind.

First up, there was A Taste of Moulin Rouge, with 17 super slim dancers who could all do a killer can-can set against the Moulin Rouge’s iconic windmill…

And then these two acrobats came out who were just INSANE. I can’t begin to image the kind of physical strength it takes to pull off these moves, so serious respect.

Psst! There was also a rather funny bit during their lucky draw for two business class tickets and 5 nights in Paris… after one couple won the prize they announced a second winner but that couple decided to graciously donate their prize back to the room for another lucky draw (how generous! And we wondered if maybe they prefer to fly First Class?) and then the 3rd couple that won decided to donate their tickets to charity! *Dang* rich much?

Oh and I took a peak backstage look at those costumes! Can you believe they have to travel with all of that?!

Moulin Rouge is French for “Red Mill” and is a cabaret in Paris, France. Moulin Rouge is best known as the spiritual birthplace of the modern form of the can-can dance.
