Last night in Mumbai, The Comedy Store Mumbai celebrated the Joy of Giving Week where, in association with Muktangan, an educational program with an innovative model running in seven municipal schools within Mumbai, presented a stand-up show with some of the best Indian comics followed by the auctioning of few prized collectibles.
The evening saw performances by Aditi Mittal, Sapan Verma, Sahil Shah, Atul Khatri, Keshav Naidu, followed by an auction, presented by actor-sportsperson-activist Rahul Bose. The auction included a range of products starting from pens, ties, travel planners, crystal showpieces, scented candles and a few valuables given away by leading corporates for the purpose of raising funds.
Speaking about his association with this special charity auction, Rahul Bose said, “Using comedy as a draw for people to come and contribute to it’s cause, was a fun way for Muktangan to raise money. Great comedy is never great unless it hits home some hard truths about the world, albeit behind the mask of the jester.
