Iktara is perhaps the song that made everyone sit up and take notice of Kavita Seth – and Tumhi Ho Bandhu only cemented her place as one of the most talented singers in the industry today. Kavita recently launched the music video of Ek Din, the title track of her upcoming album. She claims that this album is one of her most personal yet, and it seems that’s true – she seems to be singing about her late husband, K K Seth, who died suddenly in December from pancreatitis.

Is it just me, or is there an Adele vibe in there somewhere? Kavita has a haunting voice that reminds me of Adele, and the opening shot of Ek Din is very similar to that of Rolling in the Deep. See what I mean?

Regardless, I really like the song – Kavita has a beautiful voice and the lyrics are very moving.
