Looking back, it makes me smile to think we’ve been recording the blueFROG curated Shoppers Stop’s in-store radio “The first of it’s kind in India!” for years now. What started out as a fun gig-on-the-side seems to have become the one constant in my life while I changed jobs, got married and made a zillion new memories…
It’s also the reason I get to see one of my oldest radio pals in Mumbai, the fabulous Nadir Khan twice a month over coffee, giggles and the occasional blueFROG gourmet meal… But if you could just see the hilarity we get up to while we’re recording our links you’d be amazed that we sound so utterly straight faced on the radio! No joke. Plus it’s our little way of reliving our Go 92.5 FM Days, if you were there you’ll know what I mean 🙂
Every now and again I’ll get a tweet or SMS asking me if I’m the voice on the radio in Shoppers Stop and it always makes me happy to say, “Yes that’s me!” In fact, I made Shoppers Stop one of the highlights on my #MissionMommy extravaganza in Delhi for Mother’s Day so my mom could hear my voice too!)
