“When Lisa put the dress on, she squealed with delight. She marvelled at how perfectly it fit, and all the women in the room stood with their mouths agape. As the time for the ceremony approached, Lisa got more and more excited, anxious to marry Jason. She was one of the happiest brides I have seen. Everything in her outfit came together perfectly, including the veil having sewn details on it, similar to the dress.” – Wendell Rodricks, designer of Lisa Ray’s wedding dress.
Among the autumn gold leaves of a vineyard in Napa Valley California, model and actress Lisa Ray walked down the aisle to marry Jason Dehni. There was not a dry eye at the venue as they took their vows. Lisa was dressed in a dreamy, romantic, minimalist white gown by designer Wendell Rodricks.
Lisa said, “This dress has struck a chord with my soul and my dearest friend Wendell is with me in fabric and form”. The slim fitted, trailing satin silk and georgette gown was embroidered with delicate daisy petals, glowing pearls and sparkling sequins at the designers studio in Colvale, Goa. The Indian touch was a georgette paloo sewn into the left shoulder of the deep V-back gown. The sequins, pearls and fragile petals fluttered with light in the California sunshine.
“When I saw the photographs of the glamorous couple in the heavenly setting of the vineyards, I was astounded at the beauty of the entire wedding,” said Wendell Rodricks. “All I wanted was for Lisa to radiate happiness and the dress was a mere accessory to that emotion.”
