It’s getting nearer, it’s getting nearer… Skyfall’s premiering tonight in London 😀 And the film’s
scene stealer
menacing villain Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem) will be clad in an interesting outfit for it.
His outfit will be made out of 100% eco-friendly material, as part of Livia Firth’s Green Carpet Challenge. Bardem, the first man to take up this challenge, will wear made-to-order black three-piece ‘Signoria’ dinner jacket made from 100% organic wool with recycled satin lapel and trim detail, a 100% organic cotton white dress shirt and recycled satin bowtie, all by Gucci.
And here’s what Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini had to say about the ensemble:
“Designing with organic and recycled materials was an inspiring challenge to marry my creative vision with sustainability standards, and I am particularly delighted for Javier to join us in this effort. At Gucci we will continue to pursue our interest in eco-friendly and biodegradable materials.”
I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I’m about this film. The reviews so far have been more than complimentary, but the reason for my restlessness is – priorities, people, priorities − 007’s wardrobe! Tom ‘God’ Ford has apparently hit it out the ballpark, with all reviews gushing about how James Bond has never looked this stylish. Anyways, until then, salivate over the trailer… 😉
