Before I get into the real reason for this post I had to tell you I died laughing when Bubbles commented asking if I’d noticed that Boney Kapoor looks a lot like an Angry Bird. *roflmao* Oh my god you’re SO right. Maybe he should hang out with Vikram Bhatt who’s been channeling muppet? 🙂

PS. How awesome is Sridevi looking btw? WHAT a comeback, full props. Even Sushmita Sen says she’s looking to make a Sridevi-esque comeback to film because THAT’s how its done! xoxo

MAMI 2012

The Mumbai Film Festival kicked off at NCPA on October 19 and boy did Bollywood represent! Jaya Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Anupam Kher, Boney & Sridevi Kapoor and the Ambanis all made an appearance along-side Ashutosh Gowariker, Ramesh Sippy, Shyam Benegal, Kirron Kher, Rahul Bose, Ranvir Shorey, Rohit Roy, Bhavana Balsaver and Shubha Khote. They lit the lamp for the 8-day cinematic extravaganza featuring nine categories of film: International Competition for the First Feature Films of Directors, World Cinema, Dimensions Mumbai Competition, India Gold Competition, Celebrate Age Competition, Retrospectives, Above the Cut, New Faces in Indian Cinema and The Real Reel. All the films are Indian Premieres, having previously been unreleased in the country and are produced within one calendar year before the festival begins, cool eh?
