Next Saturday at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), legendary director/screenwriter Steven Spielberg will pay tribute to another Hollywood giant, Stanley Kubrick. After passing away in 1999, Kubrick’s legacy has only grown among film purists, who hail him as one of the greatest, and most artistic, filmmakers of all time. He is best known for films such as Spartacus, Lolita, Dr. Strangelove, A Clockwork Orange, The Shining (the one with Jack Nicholson), and Full Metal Jacket.
Spielberg will also honor renowned artist Ed Ruscha who will have an exhibition displayed this month at LACMA, alongside Kubrick’s. The event is co-chaired by actor Leonardo DiCaprio, and sponsored by Gucci.
