It’s fast food vs high fashion. Bet you never expected this battle to happen did you?! McDonald’s is reportedly suing the city of Milan for unceremoniously bumping them out of their Milan location to make way for a Prada store.
The fast food chain has held a prime spot at Galleria Vittoria Emanuele for the past 20 years. McDonald’s maintains that they didn’t receive the “right of first refusal on a new rental contract,” according to the Financial Times. Due to this claim they have sued the city of Milan, which owns Galleria Vittoria Emanuele, for $31.5 million in damages. Ouch! This seems to be an epic battle waiting to unfold.
We have a simple solution though, which will avoid messy lawsuits and court battles. The McPrada! They should issue a special edition IT bag for McDonald’s to up the chain’s fashion quotient…problem solved!
