Actor Anil Kapoor in his capacity as Patron & Goodwill Ambassador for Plan India, an NGO which takes care of child-centered community development, attended a press conference to announce the Because I am a Girl Rock Concert which will be held at Chitrakoot Grounds in Mumbai on 10th October 2012.
As expected, this concert will be held to raise awareness about issues that the girl child in India faces today.
Film maker Govind Nihalani, Chairperson of the Governing Board of Plan India was also present are were members of the rockbands which will perform live at the event.
Among them were Palash Sen, Uday Benegal and Sona Mahapatra. Together, they unveiled the anthem for the event, called Mein Hoon.
