Is actor Salman Khan planning on being the next Bollywood star to own an IPL cricket team? Rumours have it that the mercurial bad-boy of Indian cinema has his eye on Hyderabad’s Deccan Chargers, which has been put up for sale by it’s owners, Deccan Chronicle Holdings. The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has apparently given the go-ahead to the Reddy family to put the team, (which they bought for $107 Million), up for auction.
However, with Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders winning the last IPL, it does seem plausible that his arch-rival, Salman Khan, would want a piece of the pie, too. After all, if they can battle it out for best box office collections for their films, why not a war on the cricket pitch as well?
This promises to get more exciting so watch this space…
