Even a production czarina like Ekta Kapoor can have sleepless nights and her’s may be caused by the Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC).
Her sex comedy, Kya Super Kool Hai Hum, starring Riteish Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor, has been closely scrutinized by the powers that be at the CBFC and they have demanded as many as four cuts – even after granting the flick and “A” certificate.
The biggest bone of contention seems to be from Islamic groups who have taken offence to a pug dog in the film called Fuckruddin. They want the name changed.
And if that’s not enough, the CBFC wants Ekta to cut out scenes where Riteish discusses the female anatomy and also a spoof on Vicky Donor, among other minor cuts.
Let’s see what the final cut looks like when it releases next week!
