Nobody knows where they might end up and well nobody knew how this shocker finale wound up!
WARNING: SEASON 8 SPOILERS AHEAD.The Season 8 Finale of Grey’s Anatomy has been the most gut wrenching, heart breaking, tear inducing finale ever. The episode started with the team at Seattle Grace Hospital injured in a horrific plane crash. We knew it’s likely that one of the characters would never make it out alive and after a nail biting 20 minutes it turned out to be Lexie Grey. It was one of those shockers you don’t get over throughout the entire episode.
One of the most beloved characters on Grey’s and part of one of the biggest love stories that Grey’s had to offer was that that of her and Mark which had been going on since Season 5, taking so many twists and turns that kept us rooting for them.Trust me, I began envisioning Lexie and Mark married or living together somewhere happily ever after, and that is the reason the death was such a darn shocker.
My finale script was Yang and Meredith separating and choosing different hospitals and Season 9 being an uncomfortable separated reality for all of them, but Wow Shonda Rhimes killed off a beloved character and got another one fired off Grey’s (Teddy got fired by Owen). It was with great reflection then that Yang goes that everyone in this hospital winds up dead, struck with cancer or with a gun to the head while trying to save their best friends husband.
This finale was such a shocker and I don’t think any of us Grey’s fans can recover from it.
