We love Imran Khan over here at MissMalini! From his Pirate Radio days to sharing his playlist with us, he’s always kept us entertained and floored by how sweet he is! Since you already know why we love him, we thought we’d ask you this time – what is it about Imran that has you swooning?!
1) He’s charming
I think that’s one of the reasons I like Imran a lot also; he’s endearing in a sort of unassuming way. You can’t exactly put a finger on what it is about him, but there’s something (maybe that smile?!) that’s so disarming.
2) He’s effortlessly stylish
Love his laid-back style. He always looks good without trying too hard – and he can transition from jeans-and-tee to a suit so well!
3) He has a cute face
Well. Who can argue with that? 🙂
4) He’s down-to-earth
I’ve never met him personally (I attended his Cocoberry event but that was hardly a time to stand around and chat!) However, Ranjit Rodricks from our team did and thought he was very approachable. No airs about him at all!
5) He’s committed
He’s probably the perfect example of being married and still having a large female fan-following. A lot of Bollywood stars tend to shy away from marriage or refuse to comment on their committed relationship status because they feel it’ll decrease their ‘market value’. Imran, on the other hand, got married very early in his career – and I still know a few girls who can’t stop talking about how adorable he is. Plus, he and Avantika look so cute together!
6) He looks good even with a black eye
Haha very true! Also, special mention for just how good he was in Delhi Belly – I caught that film a little later than I would have liked, but I thought he was fabulous in it!
7) He’s determined
Yeah, I feel like he’s showing great dedication to his career. His seems to decide his movies smartly – he knows he has the “chocolate boy” looks so he cashes in on that with some good romcoms, but he’s also dabbling a bit into slightly offbeat cinema.
8) He’s real
Yep, definitely nothing pretentious about him at all. I always feel like he comes across as a real “regular” guy – chilled and laid back.
9) He stands up for what he believes in
He said he’s not a big drinker himself, but believes every individual has a democratic right – which is why he fought against the law in Maharashtra to raise the drinking age to 25. He said he’d file a public interest litigation, and followed through on his promise.
10) He’s good to his fans
Being good to your fans is always a huge plus. And Priya says that interacts with them very well, since he’s friendly and down-to-earth. +1 Imran, and now I want to meet you, too!
