When I say 24 hour flights, 7 hour layovers and endless cups of coffee (and maybe a few cocktails in between), what comes to mind? Snazzy trackies, comfy flats, pullovers and terrible travel hair? Well our Bollywood stars beg to differ. Airport terminals just became the hottest runway in town to strut your stuff. The tracks are so old school, new gen actresses show how us how it should be done… and some, oh so never to be done! We present to you top 5 airport fashion looks!
1) Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi’s fashion comes as a pleasant surprise; she effortlessly mashes comfort with style with her snug jackets and leggings and flats. She’s quite Dabangg in the airport fashion department, I must say.
2) Anushka Sharma
Anushka pretty much follows the same path as Sonakshi, with skinny jeans, an overcoat and ballets with a bright sling bag to match. I love the effortless chic style that is so girl-next-door.
3) Deepika Padukone
I adore Deepika’s fashion sense, from dresses to jeans she loves to mix things up. She’s never OTT but always understated that just stands out. From a white dress in the summer to her snug jeans in the winter, she really ‘rolls with the good times’.
4) Sonam Kapoor
Sonam hits the fashion nail every time. Elegance with comfort is what Sonam aims for, with her chic attire. Is it just me or does everyone love the brogues on Sonam? Although a last seasons fashion favorite shoe, I think the brogues mix comfort with style perfectly for a 24 hour exhausting journey.
5) Priyanka Chopra
Posh Beckham is the lady who started this trend ages ago, arriving at the airport terminals decked up from head to toe. Priyanka pretty much follows her lead with ripped jeans, biker jackets and black boots to match. Industry gossip states that Priyanka is obsessed with airport fashion and wants to be know as the ‘Queen of the Terminal’.
And a Terminal ‘Faux Pas’…
What Nisha (or Priyanka Kothari) was thinking with that gruesome hat is something I will never understand; even a bird’s nest would have looked more elegant. Apparently scaring us with her movies wasn’t enough.
