To me, Shah Rukh Khan is and will always be the king of romance. That’s why I wasn’t surprised when I read a piece in TOI about his return to his favorite genre. Last year, SRK went all out to promote his two action flicks, Ra.One and Don 2 which were both not as widely appreciated as he expected. SRK sure knows how to learn from his mistakes because he’s decided to stick to the winning love formula this time which actually always works for him. So, first up there’s a new Yash Raj film with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Then he’s doing Rohit Shetty‘s Chennai Express (wonder who the leading lady in this one will be) which is also primarily centred around a love story with a little action thrown in for good measure.
I’m totally sure that SRK can recreate the DDLJ and K3G magic with his upcoming love sagas and I can’t wait to see him do what he does best. But, I do wish he keeps experimenting with different characters because that’s what makes his cinema so much more intriguing, and we love when he challenges himself!
