Robert Pattinson was first known for his role as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and later as the vampire, Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga. But did you know that this young actor has had plenty cameo roles in several Hollywood movies? Let’s have a look:

1. Curse of the Ring a.k.a. Ring of the Nibelungs (2004)

Robert plays Giselher, the Kings brother, in this fantasy film based on the mythological story of Siegfried the Dragon-Slayer.

2. Vanity Fair (2004)

Rob did a short appearance in director Mira Nair’s movie, Vanity Fair, but they deleted the scenes before the release and his part is now only available on DVD version.

Robert Pattinson always wanted to take smaller roles in plays or movies that would allow him to explore various unique characters. But after Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was released in 2005, there was no looking back for this young actor.

3. The Haunted Airman (2005)

This movie was adapted from Dennis Wheatley’s novel The Haunting of Toby Jugg, this is a story of a troubled young man who returns from war only to face new thrills.

4. The Bad Mother’s Handbook (2006)

Once again this movie was adapted from the best-selling novel The Bad Mother’s Handbook by Kate Long. This is a story of a year in the life of three women and Robert plays the role of a student with a teacher crush.

In 2007, he again played a small cameo as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

In 2008, he took up the intense character of Edward Cullen the vampire from Twilight. Read how much we love this movie here!

5. Little Ashes (2008)

Little Ashes is a Spanish-British drama where Robert plays Salvador Dalí who is an 18-year old student determined to become an artist.

6. How To Be (2009)

Finally he seemed to have taken up a serious role in this drama film called How To Be where he plays a musician who is going through a quarter-life crisis. Rob received the ‘Best Actor in a Feature’ award for his character of Art, at the Strasbourg International Film Festival.

In 2009, the sequel to Twilight, The Twilight Saga : New Moon, became a huge success and even surpassed some of the box-office records set by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!

6. Remember Me (2010)

Remember Me is a romantic teenage drama film and Robert’s acting as Tyler Hawkins was truly appreciated and he received quite a few awards for the same.

In 2010, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was the third installment in the series and had a lot of mixed reviews.

7. Love & Distrust (2010)

Love & Distrust was a romantic drama about eight individuals from various backgrounds on their search for true happiness.

8. Water for Elephants (2011)

Water for Elephants is another romantic film based on the bestseller by Sara Gruen. Ironically, Robert Pattinson’s character is called Jacob in this movie!

I’m sure you have read our teaser about this movie here. Bel Ami was based on a 1885 French novel of the same name by Guy de Maupassant. The film also starred Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Ricci.

10. Cosmopolis (2012)

Cosmopolis is one of the movies that have been selected for competing at the Cannes Film Festival this year. Robert Pattinson plays the leading role in this movie  which is based on Don DeLillo’s novel about a 28 year-old billionaire who journeys to Manhattan for a haircut. This movie is set to release in May 2012.
