When art and fashion get together it’s usually very aesthetically appealing, this collaboration by James Franco and the brand 7 for All Mankind is a great example of that. The whole campaign uses a mix of multimedia and will finally culminate into a short feature film with some of the hippest in the fashion and art/indie circuits in the U.S., Lily Donaldson, Henry Hopper and Amber Anderson.
I have no knowledge about film, so this is my layman’s perspective. If you go onto their YouTube channel and check out the episodes that James has already put up, it’s got a very candid and unfinished retro look. It feels like you’ve been invited to a house party that is the baap of all house parties, with the pretty girls, hot boys and everyone dressed in their California coolest and having a ball of a time. I’m not so sure the campaign makes me want to buy the clothes, but it does want me to go out and have that one wild road trip!
