Sad news: a terrible accident on sets of Ajay Devgn‘s Son of Sardar resulted in the death of light man Machinder Arvel and hospitalization of Bipin Yadav, another light man.
It seems that the two were electrocuted – a hi-voltage line was running overhead above the steamer, and the accident occurred when the men were trying to lift the steamer to increase the light intensity on the actors. Ajay Devgn and the other actors associated with the film (Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Dutt etc) have promised to offer compensation to Machinder Arvel’s family.
Shooting will resume only once a pooja is held on sets.
