The Mona Lisa actually waxed her brow off entierly, as was the trend back then. Good thing we’re not opting for that!Instead we’ve seen a huge rise in bleached eyebrows on the runway, especially for fall 2012. I’m not sure if I’m entirely convinced to try the trend, but it’s something that is intriguing, because it can change the way your face looks completely.
For certain face structures (and high fashion models), it can do wonders for them, really accentuating their features. The brown brow at Dolce & Gabbana lends a softer more feminine look, where as the Gucci, icy bleached brow, looks hard yet edgy. There are some advantages to a barely there brow – one is that, it makes ‘makeup’ stand out more, just like at Versace. Also, you can draw in any shape or colour brow you want, like at Prada, where they made their eyebrows umpa lumpa orange!
Not sure if you can pull it off? Then do like Mickey Contractor did for Sanchita Ajjampur, and use a brown eye brow mascara, which is temporary. If it looks fab, then you know what to do for fall this year, If not, well then it’s a good thing you didn’t use real bleach!
