Currently, MissMalini is having a grand time in Goa for her wedding, but unfortunately, we all can’t be there. So for those of you who aren’t there, I’ve put together a list of some of Bollywood’s best wedding scenes. Maybe we can have our own little celebration here? 🙂
1. Waah Waah Ramji
This engagement song is perfect. There’s something so endearing about the innocence of Rajshri films, and you know they do the best weddings.
2. Joothe Do Paise Lo
This is also from Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, but I couldn’t resist including it. Stealing the groom’s shoes is one of the most fun parts of the wedding, so this song always gets me in a complete wedding mood.
3. Hum Tum: Wedding Scene
Love this wedding scene – the entire set-up is gorgeous, Rani/Abhishek are adorable together, and Saif, looking on like a lost puppy, just adds to it.
4. Mujhse Dosti Karoge: Medley
This medley is a classic. The set is lovely, the outfits are beautiful, and of course the song selection is just fabulous. Love the entire mix and love this sequence – I can watch it repeatedly! 😉
5. Mujhse Dosti Karoge: Climax Scene
Also great, from Mujhse Dosti Karoge, is the climax scene; it’s a perfect example of the “sacrificing love” theme in Bollywood, but of course we have to have a happy ending thanks to some divine intervention. 🙂
6. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai: Climax Scene
Love this scene – and love the happy ending in this one.
7. Kal Ho Na Ho: Wedding Scene
This is a bit of a sad song, but still so lovely. Definitely one of those bittersweet things, that’s quite different from the overall naach-gaana we usually have for Bollywood weddings.
