When a member of the media asked Arjun Rampal, if like his new friend Lady Gaga’s perfume, his too would have the subtle scents of blood and semen, the Ra.One star looked flummoxed for a moment and then burst into laughter. “Well, there is no blood and semen in my cologne! That is for afterwards, after you wear it,” he said, with a huge grin!
Priced at Rs.1800/- the fragrance launched by Arjun Rampal in Mumbai last night, has two variations; Alive White and Alive Black. Alive White is a unisex fresh-smelling fragrance for the day. This is a citrus based fragrance which is a cocktail of Bergamot, Mandarin, and Lemon while Alive black is a formal and heavier fragrance for the evening where the citrusy top notes give way to pepper, leather and aquatic notes making the fragrance distinctly masculine in nature.
Of course, Arjun personally invited all his glamorous buddies from Bollywood to help him celebrate the launch of his very own perfume. The exclusive and intimate evening was held at Aurus in Juhu, where a chilly wind swept in from the sea and had everybody wishing the Mumbai weather was so pleasant all through the year.
Among the many Bollywood biggies who mingled last night were Hrithik and Suzanne Roshan, Gauri Khan, Boman Irani, Priety Zinta, Chitrangda Singh, Amrita Arora, Sushmita Sen, Gautam Singhania, Prateik Babbar, Zayed Khan, Rhea Pillai, Prakash Jha, Bunty Walia, Abhishek Kapoor, Zoya Aktar, Rohit Bal, Nandita Mehtani, Dino Morea, Sudhir Mishra, Neelam Kothari and Sameer Soni.
