So we met Marwa Zamaray at India Resort Fashion Week and were immediately taken by how charmingly well put together she was (everyday!). Hello India! I am a fashion entrepreneur from Amsterdam and soon I will be operating my own business in India. My interest in fashion started as a hobby, when I was a teenager, and now, it’s something much better – a career I wish to pursue. I follow fashion trends religiously and enjoy the glamorous fashion environment. My main focus is on the entrepreneurial side and I plan to turn my passion into a successful business in the very near future. Dressing For a Night-Out:

In my line of work, sometimes you have to improvise and make the best of it. Just recently, I was invited (last minute) to Mumbai’s Most Stylish Awards. Hurriedly, I decided to wear a dress from my friend, and noted designer, Narendra Kumar, but it was two sizes too small! To add to the drama, I had to change in the car, in the middle of Mumbai’s insane traffic (bad idea). I thought I was digging my own grave, wearing something I was not familiar with, but Nari knows a woman’s body and what works on it. I was very lucky the photographers captured me nicely; I was embraced by blogs as well as magazines for looking stylish and showing off my curves, which is probably what they loved the most!

Make-Up – Only if You Need it:

A woman communicates not only with her clothes; her eyes, her lips and her hair are all a part of it as well. My favourite look natural, healthy and not overly processed. It actually does take some work but appears effortless. In case you are wondering why you should invest so much time in the ‘no-make-up’ look, you need to know, that coming across as being naturally radiant is far more attractive than looking like you’ve spent hours plastering war paint to create an impression. Pay special attention to your lips; they should be natural and smooth, nothing overpowering. If I was a guy, I wouldn’t want to kiss lips overloaded with chemicals. Yikes!

Clothes Are an Investment!

For young professionals, the work wardrobe is an investment! Fashion with style is not only about function and looking good, but is also the way the world perceives us. That’s why I pay special attention to the image that I need to convey to the outside world and wear the right accessories to demonstrate my professionalism. By virtue of my career, I have to look chic when I leave the house for work. I’m very self-conscious about what I’m wearing and my appearance because an important meeting might pop up at the last minute. I look at key accessories and clothing in my work wardrobe and decide quickly. I also like to incorporate runway trends into my work wardrobe. I’m not always comfortable in what I’m wearing, but I still wear it with confidence and on top of tgat, I just man up and wear heels! A statement pair of shoes can completely transform an outfit and add to your curves.

The Inner You:

I consider my lingerie as being an important part of my wardrobe. The lingerie that I buy must make me feel wonderful, sexy, sensual and desirable. It’s a definite plus and huge ego-boost when you’re looking sexy and exotic in a good lingerie set.

Rebel-Rock Chic ®

After a series of black-tie, red carpet events in elegant evening gowns, I returned to my customary “REBEL” fashion style. I ditch the fancy dresses and heels and go wild with a pair of rockin’ jeans, cowboy belt, leather jacket and heavy duty motor boots. This is my usual look for a relaxed Sunday afternoon with friends. I make sure I combine them successfully, but I refuse to play safe – so I tuck my baggy jeans into my boots!  Who says it’s a fashion crime to put all sorts of cool stuff together, huh?

My Favourite Things:

Besides my iPad, these are my all-time favourite things:

1. A stack of bangles: Add a splash of boho-chic glam to a casual outfit with a mix-and-match assortment of bracelets. Quick tip: Pile on different designs in a single shade.

2. Buddha to Buddha bracelet.

3.vThe manly TW Watch.

4. A lightweight carry-on bag for travelling.

5. A lit

tle scarf: Stash a colorful lightweight, woven scarf or shawl in your tote  & ward off unwanted AC chills in style.

6. Leather belt: Belts are an accessory-must for most outfits.

7. Holly High Heels: Learn how to wear high heels because they are undeniably stylish and sophisticated. Their curved design adds flair to endless outfits and helps to elongate legs therefore making heels a wardrobe staple.

8. Last but definitely not least, my Scooter, which I consider as an absolute must-have!
