Farhan Akhtar is one of those completely multi-talented people we have in Bollywood today. He’s a director, actor, producer, and has even done his fair share of playback singing. So for his birthday, I’m looking at my favourite from each of his ventures… let me know what yours are!

Director: Dil Chahta Hai

This movie has to be a classic by now. It’s one of those movies that are fun, entertaining and doesn’t insult your intelligence. I always stop to watch it when I’m flipping channels on TV and realize it’s on.

Producer: Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

I really enjoyed ZNMD – a feel-good film that’s inspirational at the same time as it’s entertaining. Farhan made a good move producing this one, as it went on to become the 10th highest grossing Bollywood film!

Actor: Luck By Chance

I think Farhan did a great job in this film, portraying a struggling actor who rises to fame while sacrificing some other important parts of life.

Playback singer: Tum Ho Toh

This is one of my happy songs! There’s something about the sincere way in which Farhan sings this song that makes it work. Simple, nothing fancy – love it.
