It was a lovely afternoon champagne brunch at Tote On The Turf, as actress Ira Dubey and TV presenter Neha Sareen, sat pretty and promoted their film-review show called Chicks On Flicks.
Hosted by the affable Sunder Aaron, the Business Head of Sony PIX, the afternoon was laid-back and un-rushed as Neha and Ira personally chatted one-on-one with everybody and explained the finer nuances of their revamped show.
Chicks on Flicks is a one of a kind Hollywood film review show which was launched by PIX in 2008. After many successful seasons on television PIX now brings to a special edition of the show exclusively on Facebook.
“Our show’s system of evaluating films is like none other since there are no stars or rating scales defined for the reviews. you to either- catch or trash a film; either you watch it or you don’t,” says Ira.
Adds Neha, “The new avatar of Chicks on Flicks allows our audiences a chance to interact with us via Facebook. It is also convenient since the reviews are available online and need not be followed on television at a fixed time and day!”
Personally for me, the best part about the lunch was discovering that Neha’s mother – Poonam Sareen – used to be my Speech & Drama teacher in school. It brought back so many lovely memories.
Cheers to that!
