If you happened to see leggy models and buffed-up boys at Escobar on Tuesday afternoon, they were there to audition for fashion’s newest property, the India Resort Fashion Week 2011.
To be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Goa from the 7th-10th December 2011, the IRFW2011 promises to be the best fashion event on the calendar every year.
Many of the models who came in for the auditions were already among the established lot you’ll find on on the ramp at most fashion shows. And still many others were first-timers, hoping to get that big break in the world of glamour and glitz. There were many foreign models as well, from East Europe and South American countries.
Among the judges were designers Shantanu and Nikhil Mehra, Shivan and Narresh, Lubna Adams, Harmeet Bajaj, Pallav Kumar Ojha and Aman Swetta.
And what were the judges looking for? “Dusky skin tones, a super body and loads of attitude to carry of resort wear,” they tell us.
