Payal Singhal says, “My line of comfortable festive wear for kids fills a gap in the market for clothes that girls and boys can wear, without being over the top. The kids line is miniature versions of the adult line and yet its age appropriate for and practical for the children, something that all mothers would be happy to have their little girls wear especially for occasions. Having a 2 year old myself I know how difficult it is to find cute indian clothes for kids” Rina Shah adds “Rinaldi Angels is a collection of designs that little girls would love and enjoy wearing It combines colour, style with comfort, allowing the young girls to look and feel like little ladies this season”.
All mommies love to shop for their little princesses. And when the kids can come along it always makes it more fulfilling! Designers Payal Singhal and Rina Shah hosted a warm and colorful ” Mommy and Me” evening at their store in Altamount Road last evening to launch their new festive collection for the l’il ones.
Payal showcased her Bridal/Festive 2011 Collection for the mummies which has a beautiful blend of statement pieces that amalgamate contemporary designs with traditional silhouettes.
But the icing on the cake was her all new line PS by Payal Singhal which is an adorable collection of bling and wearable festive wear for young girls and boys.
I was completely smitten by some of the gorgeous creations she had for little girls and I can’t wait to dress my daughter Allisah up in one of these!
Rina Shah also showcased her Autumn Winter line of bridal and formal footwear for the mums under her label Rinaldi Couture. I particularly loved her Polo Collection with some pretty neat Polo shirts and some killer boots.
Rina unveiled her equestrian line of accessories ( super hot bags) and this delightful new collection of dainty festive footwear for the young ones called Rinaldi Angels.
I ordered some pretty pink ones in Allisah’s size and I am sure she’ll love dancing around her new big girl shoes!
The entire evening was a blast for the kids too as they had their moment on the Pink carpet, enjoyed yummy party bites and had an array of cute activities and games.
It felt like a birthday party complete with like face painting, hair braiding and book reading to keep them busy.
Loved the mini melt- in your- mouth cupcakes which made the evening more perfect and there were even presents for the l’il ones to take home.
I spotted yummy mommy Arshiya Fakih having a blast with her two year old girl Noah as she shared all her fun Mommy and Me stories with me.
I bonded with like so many mums about things that keep mommies busy from school admissions to where to buy what and even managed to get helpful pointers on what they feed their l’il ones.
It’s such a mommy thing you know but we always end up talking about the same stuff wherever we meet. I know its a l’il weird (and boring) for the rest of you.
But I have to thank MissMalini for this wonderful evening that added some wonderful people to my mommy friend circle and introduced me to Indian couture for my baby which is sooo hard to find! Bliss!
Spotted: Apeksha Chopra, Perizaad Kolah, Kanchan Kundanmal, Superna Motwane, Pooja Advani and Samantha Nayyar with their kids and lots of other cute moms and kids!
