One sure-shot way to get in the “wedding mood” is to get all dolled up and have your pictures taken in anticipation! And I got to do just that courtesy Wedding Sutra and Indian Hanger for a shoot called “My Best Friend’s Wedding.” So here I am in a gorgeous cream & rust Ritika Mirchandani lehenga with gold thread work and floral embroidery teamed with an orange blouse and a cream net dupata (available on IndianHanger.com) and Amrapali Jewellery.
The curls are of course, courtesy Smashh the Salon 🙂 This is exactly the sort of thing I would wear to my best friends wedding and you already know what I’m wearing to mine….
P.S. I also loved the uber sweet couple Minee R. who did my makeup and photog Romesh Dhamija who made me feel pretty and Bhavna Kohli who styled me. Kalpana Shah also showed me how to drape my chunni, like a sari which I think looks pretty awesome (and is MUCH easier for the domestically challenged, like myself to actually pull off!) She’s even coming out with a coffee table book soon on sari draping FYI. For now here’s me posing up a storm, you like?
