Salman Khan can be credited with launching many a Bollywood career, and lucky for her, Zarine Khan makes the list! Apparently Ms. Khan visited the sets of Yuvraaj to meet Salman because she was a “big fan”, and in the bargain landed the lead role in Veer!
That too after she was a 100-kilo college student and had absolutely no plans of becoming an actress because she was so academically-inclined (Zarine wanted to become a doctor). Sounds like what most Bollywood dreams are made of, hain na?
After chatting with her on the sets, Salman apparently ‘noticed’ something about Zarine (gee, I wonder what that could be – surely not her resemblance to a certain actress?!) and she stumbled into her very own Bollywood fairytale…
It’s actually a pretty sweet story; makes you think that it could happen to any one of us – but, I must say, if you’re a Katrina Kaif lookalike, you’ve already got an edge over the rest of us! 😉
