Yes, I finally did it. I took the plunge and joined a “gym”. To be honest, I’ve always steered clear of gyms and workouts and personal trainers because I was afraid I couldn’t hack it or I wouldn’t like it; but I no longer have a choice. I am getting married in December (and Feb!) and if I want to wear what I want to wear and glow while I do it – I better start doing some serious crunches. (Now!)

The thing is, I’ve danced professionally for six years (about a decade ago) so I’m not like a contestant on “The Biggest Loser” or anything but fab abs would be a superb addition to my bridal look, hai na? 🙂 So I did my homework and thanks to Candice Pereira at MarryMeWeddings discovered Zareen Watson’s extraordinary services.
First up did you know that Watson Fitness is on Turner Road (right next to Taava) with state-of-the-art equipment and a signature personal training studio? I think that means you decide your goals and they make it happen. Excellent 🙂
I also think it’s a very good sign that as I was leaving the personal training gym floor (tweeting of course) Zareen’s adorable madame assistant yelled out to me, “joining a gym and waiting for the lift for two floors? Take the stairs you lazy bum!” #keepingitreal #lovesit!
I’m also kinda excited that Zareen Watson and team have trained the likes of John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, Hrithik Roshan and Lara Dutta (who also had a beach wedding in Goa FYI.) As it says on their website, “what was once the sole domain of just celebrities has now expanded to include a full-fledged state of the art gym with a separate floor dedicated to her private clientele.” Yippee!
Plus me and my hubby-to-be get to gym together on Saturdays and are going for our first diet consultation on Monday evening! (I’ve heard that couples that work out together – stay together, no joke.)
