Oomph actress Mallika Sherawat was the much anticipated show-stopper for designer Arjun and Anjalee Kapoor’s show in Mumbai last evening. The couple were showing at an ongoing bridal fashion week in Mumbai and the L.A based actress took to the ramp in a red fishtail ghagra and embroidered choli. Now we don’t know if the creation was too heavy for her to carry because, from where we were sitting in the front row, she seemed to walk with uncomfortable and jerky movements.
Later in the evening, guests were treated to yet another stellar Bollywood appearance – actress / producer / co-owner of Kolkatta Night Riders, Juhi Chawla Mehta.
She came in to view Vikram Phadnis’ show and sat along with the designer and writer Mustaq Shiekh in the front row. Later, she graciously gave sound bytes to the media and posed for pictures with her fans.
As for his show-stopper, Vikram Phadnis chose to have the dapper and smart actor Neil Nitin Mukesh do the honours. Wearing a dark-hued sherwani and a gold chain around is neck, Neil cut quite a handsome figure.
Endearing was the fact that Neil’s parents came to support and cheer him on as he walked the ramp for Vikram. Post the show, the trio happily obliged everybody with a photo-op.
And finally, for the last show of the evening, designer Rocky S. had dimpled beauty Ameesha Patel walk the ramp in a stunningly embroidered lehenga-choli ensemble with the odhni cascading down from her head.
Also in the audience at the bridal shows were actor Ashish Chowdhury and his lovely wife Samita Bangargi, singer Vandana Vadhera, actress Preeti Jhangiani, Sophie Choudhury and Rhea Pillai Pais.
