Day 1 of the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2011 started off with fireworks, no less. Raakesh Agarvwal set the ramp ablaze, quite literally! Fiery red carpet gowns, sexy draped dresses and bridal ensembles were seen in flaming ombres, with glitter and shine. Fluid Grecian drapes juxtaposed with structured corset tops, lehengas in their jewelled glory, scooped necklines and fishtail silhouettes. With Jacqueline Fernandez playing diva in shimmer and drapes, like MissMalini said, Raakesh sure brought sexy back on the runway!
Neeta Lulla put forth a collection in soft pastels. French lace and paillettes, crochet and layers of tulle made for a very pretty festive line. From a canary yellow to a azure blue, from candy floss pink to a faint blushing coral, varied shades on the pastel palette were seen in this show. Frothy and decorative motifs in lace were seen throughout. The collection had a lighthearted playfulness, and a touch of flamenco in Esha Deol‘s black layered gown
